Later on, as Blake stumbles into a room with a mangled corpse lying on a bed, Corgan lunges out at him from the dark and violently thrashes him around before shoving him down a staircase.Ĭorgan, along with several cultists, pursues Blake through several buildings until Blake blocks Corgan off with some wreckage next to a doorway in a dormitory. Apart from that watch some YouTube videos on how people tackle it.Corgan is first encountered at the beginning of the game watching Blake Langermann enter Temple Gate, before backing away into the darkness.
#OUTLAST 2 TIPS TRIAL#
I know there’s quite a lot but just constant practice and trial and error will get you there. So keep making sure to peak and make them miss so you can run right by. There’s roughly a 5 second window where they miss until they reload and shoot again. A solid technique I use is to peak slightly so they shoot at you and quickly dodge it. The other segment is when you’re running along the cliff and they’re shooting arrows from the other side. Make sure you know where they are before you run towards it or else they’ll insta kill you. The first section would be when you have to run around to cross along the wall of the rock. Nick and laird only have some main segments which are very infuriating and in my opinion are the most annoying antagonists of the game. Make sure you know where all the switches are before you attempt that area. And for that I’d recommend you save a good portion of battery so you have enough to manage your way around the caves. Val should only be slightly problematic when doing the switches. Works for me every time and she never catches up with me. Then quickly slide out again and push the wagon until it hits the wall. Run back and slide into the whole in the fence on the left side. Push the wagon all the way until Blake eventually stops on his own. The wagon section is feared by most people but it’s quite simple. I was just encountering it regularly enough to actually ask on here if it was a known bug or something. YMMV though, if the first stalls aren't giving you any trouble than by all means use them. The good news is that you have enough time to get to a farther stall and crawl under, which never failed for me.
#OUTLAST 2 TIPS PATCH#
I've had him fling himself off the first ladder in the mine before, and someone else on here has mentioned falling off the ledge between Murder Before Suicide and the King of the Hill chase before by moving toward it too fast.Ģ) Speaking of Murder Before Suicide, it's much easier on the current patch than it was, but on PS4 I was encountering an intermittent issue with the first three bathroom stalls where Blake was getting hung up on the doors as he tried to crawl under them. Sometimes the game just won't pick it up for a second and you have to do a little shuffle until it registers. If you're hauling ass through an area, make sure the animation where he turns onto a ledge or turns around to get on the ladder actually starts before you commit. Oh idk what platform you're playing on but I thought of two more small things:ġ) Don't trust Blake on ladders and ledges from chapter 4 onwards. After you have all the chases down pat these will probably be the tensest parts, or at least they were for me. Take the balance beams and leaps of faith as slow as you need to, too. It's almost impossible to fail on Nightmare but at the end of an Insane run your nerves can betray you like crazy. I got over it by treating every run as practice instead of something I could fail until I got it. My major downfall was getting to the blood rain, suddenly realizing how far I'd gotten, and getting hopeful. You know the drill since you did Outlast on Insane, but 2 is just longer and more stressful toward the end. Speaking of keeping a cool head, it's probably the best advice I can give. As long as you remember that the demon that follows you into the maze is just a vision and won't actually get you until you trigger him near the table with the battery on it, though, just keep a cool head and the section won't be any trouble at all. You could just memorize the level, but with permadeath nerves having the physical map saved my life (and battery) every time I got here. On the subject of the library, u/ED_Fire made an excellent map that I printed out to use on my Messiah run. The other commenters have already covered most of the tricky points so I'll try to fill in the gaps without repeating them.
